If your local Viking/Husqvarna tech doesn’t charge you for just taking a look, it sure wouldn’t hurt to take it in -- just in case, there’s some small thing that you may have overlooked. My machine is only a few years old (Janome Sewist S52S) and usually runs lovely but recently when I put my foot on the pedal it makes an odd noise and sometimes doesn't go, then when it is going, sometimes it goes fast then slow without me changing the pressure. There are a couple machines I won’t even touch.
